Riding Lessons

Gem and Melissa had horse riding lessons for Christmas. Got round to it in Feb.
Unfortunately the instructor was a bit of a dragon.
The girls enjoyed some of it. Unfortunately, I'm too late posting this, and can't remember the horses names... Will have to ask Gem- she has a good memory.
We hope to try again later at a different stables!

Playground

A lazy bank holiday at a playground in St Kilda with friends and a picnic.

There's nothing better.

Working with wood

Working with wood was the title of this activity at school. Fraser came home with a few useful items...
Chopping board- I remember making a fish shaped one of these many years ago- I bet it's out in the shed at Dad's by now.
Pencil case- huge- can fit a lot in this one.
Pencil stand- for the artist in a hurry.
Looking forward to working with wood2. I need some cupboard doors please...

Snow- a while ago!

Some time ago- maybe July- we went up to Lake Mountain for a visit to the snow. There had been much nagging by the kids. Needless to say, after a surprisingly short time, the tune changed to- it's too cold!
Ah yes, the joys of the snow...

All the family

Ballroom Dance

The two of them in one picture- looking happy. Must publish this one!
Here is Gemma at the School Dance. Our friend, Lorraine, thinks she looks like Margaret O'Brien, a famous actor of old. I just think she looks very grown up!

Day out in the City

Here we are enjoying the City with The Farming Dawsons.
First a cultural visit to the church opposite Federation Square- most interesting. We met some Girl Guides there- three separate groups! Next on to the flames- plenty of time for posing before the main attraction.

Fraser goes to high school.

Here is Fraser on his first day at High School!
We never thought this day would come. Mr Squeezy has grown up a lot.
Another school related photo, at home with a Science project- baked Alaska! It tasted great and keeps quite well in the freezer.

Fraser goes to AJ2010

The big day has arrived- after about 18 months preparation. Here they are ready to board the bus to Cataract Park, NSW. They all had matching hats, bags, bum bags, water bottles, scarves, another top, plates etc! What a huge operation 13,000 scouts plus leaders and heaps of activities as well. We take our hats off to the organisers.
and eagerly await news of how it all went. Check out he web site AJ2010- for reams of info.
Looking forward to seeing you again, Frais, our brave, bold scout.
